Happy Pi Day! Yes, I know... I'm a dork. But you're the one reading the dork's website. ;) This is just a quick post to put up some pictures from December. The first set is from Portugal, and the second set is from California. Enjoy!
Portugal - Sintra - Pena National Palace
Portugal - Lisbon - Cristo Rei and 25th of April Bridge
California - Grapevine - Foggy Grapevine
California - San Juan Bautista - Mission San Juan Bautista
I just got back on Monday from Venice. I was there for Carnival. There's a slideshow below of a few of the pictures I took. The music is from this YouTube video. It's "The Carnival of Venice" played by a trombone! The video cuts off a little early... there's something wrong with the program I am using to convert it. I will work on it later. I am tired. Just wanted to get the video up tonight.
I'm convinced that there's no way anyone is still checking this site for updates. My only excuse is that I was away from home for literally 50% of 2010. So far, it looks like 2011 will be similar. I will try to do better, but no promises. Since I missed them all in my lack of updates, happy Labor Day, Columbus Day, Halloween, Veterans Day, and Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! Oh, and Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, too! ;)
Last weekend, for Valentine's Day, my girlfriend and I took a trip to Budapest. (Yes, for those of you without Facebook and that I haven't talked to in a while--yes, I have a girlfriend. Amazing, isn't it!?) What a beautiful city, especially at night! I won't bore you with words about the city--for that you can read Wikipedia. Here are the pictures that I took:
Hungary - Budapest - Pest from Fisherman's Bastion
Hungary - Budapest - Parliament building
Hungary - Budapest - Heroes' Square
Hungary - Budapest - Buda Castle, Chain Bridge, and Mathias Church - South
Hungary - Budapest - Buda Castle, Chain Bridge, and Mathias Church - North
I hope you enjoyed them. I'll keep working on more pictures. Until next time!
